AW Foundation has supported projects that have help to develop the well-being of the people of Myanmar. These projects span a wide range of activities, including education, disaster relief, infrastructure, and community development. The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in unprecedented business disruptions around the globe, and Myanmar was not spared. Myanmar’s healthcare sector urgently needed to upgrade its capabilities to combat the surging number of cases. In early 2021, we made a swift decision to prioritize our efforts in building Wai Bar Gi Hospital’s new National Infectious Disease Centre and successfully completed and handed it over to the Ministry of Health on 3 November 2022.
